How Does the Corn Grits Milling Machine Operate?

Wet peeling is generally adopted, requiring the moisture content of corn to reach 16–17% before entering the machine. The soaking time should be around 10 minutes. The ideal condition is when the corn skin can be easily peeled off with a fingernail.
Note: Corn kernels with visible surface water are strictly prohibited from entering the machine, as this may cause machine jamming. Also, avoid excessive soaking time. The peeling process should be done twice to ensure complete removal.
Operation
- Start the machine and wait until it runs steadily. Then, gradually open the feed gate and adjust the material flow based on the load of the motor.
- If, during initial operation, the quality of the dehulled corn or grits is not satisfactory, the material should be returned for re-peeling.
- During machine operation, always monitor the sound of the machine. If any abnormal noise occurs, stop the machine immediately for inspection.
- In the event of jamming, promptly close the feed gate, reduce the outlet pressure, slowly rotate the motor pulley by hand, or remove the sieve frame to clear the blockage. Then restart the machine to resume normal operation.
Shutdown
Before shutting down, close the feed gate to stop feeding. Slightly pull the discharge plate and let the machine run for about 30 seconds before turning off the power.
