In March 2026, Taizy shipped two machines to a commercial dairy farm in Nakuru County, Kenya. The order included one 9JGL-5 Vertical TMR Feed Mixer with a 5 m³ hopper and one 9ZR-500B chaff cutter machine rated at 800–1,200 kg/h.

The machines left the factory in early March and reached Mombasa Port, then traveled by road to Nakuru in the Rift Valley. Before this order, workers chopped Napier grass and hay by hand with machetes and mixed feed on the ground. The whole routine took over three hours every morning, and cattle sorted feed constantly. With the two machines working together, chopping and mixing now takes about one hour, ration quality is uniform, and the farm reports steadier milk production within the first season.

Who Is the Dairy Farm Behind This Kenya Project?

The customer is a family-run dairy farm in Nakuru County, in Kenya’s Rift Valley region. This area is one of East Africa’s most active dairy zones, with thousands of small and medium farms supplying milk to local processors.

The farm keeps around 180 dairy cows and grows most of its own forage. The daily ration is built on Napier grass, maize silage, dry hay, and dairy meal concentrate. The farm sells milk to a local collection center, so consistent daily production directly affects family income.

What Did the Kenya Dairy Farm Need from a Chaff Cutter and TMR Feed Mixer?

The farm owner contacted Taizy with three problems to solve.

First, manual chopping was too slow. Workers spent the early morning cutting Napier grass with machetes. Pieces were uneven, long stems were left behind, and intake suffered.

Second, feed mixing was unscientific. Concentrate was spread on top of forage by hand. High-yielding cows did not get enough energy, while low-yielders were overfed.

Third, labor was unreliable. During planting season, workers left for their own fields, and feeding routines fell apart.

The farm needed a simple system that one or two workers could operate every day without depending on manual skill.

What Feed Processing Solution Did Taizy Provide?

Taizy recommended a two-machine setup that matches how the farm already works.

The 9ZR-500B chaff cutter chops Napier grass, hay, and maize stover into short, uniform pieces at 800–1,200 kg per hour. The customer chose the electric motor version, which runs on Kenya’s standard 240V, 50Hz supply. At only 95 kg, two workers can move it between the forage store and the mixing area.

The chopped material then goes into the 9JGL-5 Vertical TMR Feed Mixer, a stationary 5 m³ machine with an 18.5 kW motor. Its vertical auger blends forage, silage, and dairy meal into one uniform ration in about 20 minutes per batch. The built-in weighing system with four load cells lets the operator follow the nutritionist’s recipe exactly.

Together, the two machines replaced manual chopping and ground mixing with a repeatable daily process.

How the Chaff Cutter and TMR Mixer Work Together Each Morning?

The daily routine on the farm now follows four fixed steps.

  1. Chopping: Napier grass and hay go through the chaff cutter first, producing short, uniform material that mixes faster and digests better.

  2. Weighing: The operator loads chopped forage into the TMR mixer while watching the digital weighing display.

  3. Mixing: Silage and dairy meal are added by weight. The auger blends everything in about 20 minutes.

  4. Feeding: The mixed ration discharges into wheelbarrows or directly along the feed line for the 180 cows.

Two workers complete the entire process in roughly one hour. The ration is identical every day, which keeps intake and milk yield stable.

What After-Sales Support Did Taizy Include in This Kenya Order?

Taizy supports exported machines with more than a warranty card. For this order, the farm received:

    • Pre-shipment test video of both machines running under load before packing

    • English operation manuals with clear diagrams for workers with basic technical skills

    • Electrical configuration for Kenya, matched to 240V/50Hz supply and Type G plug standard

    • One-year warranty on core components, including the mixer gearbox and motor

    • 24-hour technical response through WhatsApp and video calls

    • Spare parts supply for blades, belts, and sensors, shipped by air when needed

Why Did the Kenya Farm Choose to Cooperate with Taizy?

The farm compared several suppliers before ordering. Three factors decided the choice: transparent specifications without vague promises, a test video of the actual machines, and fast answers to technical questions before payment.

Six months after delivery, the machines run six days a week. The farm owner says the biggest change is not only saved time. The uniform ration has leveled out milk production, and cows that used to sort feed now clean up every meal.
